About the  Inspection A standard Residential inspection is a visual examination of the physical structure and major systems of a residential building. It should be clearly understood that a home inspection is not to be confused with an appraisal, a code inspection, a guarantee, a warranty, or an insurance policy on the condition of the home. During your inspection I will review the readily accessible exposed portions of the home, including the roof, attic, interior and exterior walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors, the basement and foundation as well as the heating/cooling systems, plumbing and electrical systems for problems or potential problems. The inspection will take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the size, age, and condition of the home. Home inspections are not intended to point out every small problem or any invisible or latent defect in a home. When the inspection is completed, I will review my findings with you and answer any questions you may have. A web based inspection report, including photos and important links with pertinent information on your home will be completed within 24-48 hours after the inspection. The inspection report  can be viewed and sent to anyone, your Realtor, lawyer, contractors, father-in-law, as a link in an email. No large pdf files to send. If you wish, the inspection report can also be downloaded in pdf form and saved to a computer.
